For 20 plus years I‘ve dedicated myself to the hospitality industry. I graduated as a Hospitality Major and later had the opportunity to complete a double Masters in Business and Finance. Workwise, I started at the bottom of the ladder, and worked myself up to become CEO of Enjoy Group; one of the most renowned hospitality companies in Central America.
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the best in the industry, from financial institutions to investment bankers and management companies; in addition to being able to work in almost all segments of the industry, from boutique luxury hotels to limited service franchises and all-inclusive resorts. Harnessing skills in development, management, financial structuring and asset management.
Eventually, both professionally and personally, I decided I needed a change, more time for myself in order to do what I love: travel around the world meeting people, getting to know places, hotels and restaurants; understanding, enjoying and learning as much as I can from them.
I love hospitality, it’s in my veins, and I know that the only way to keep growing is getting out of my comfort zone, exploring… embracing the unknown. I couldn’t do this as CEO, therefore I decided to become an independent advisor.
Hospitality business development - or business architecture - is the evolution of my career. My new role is about creating value in the initial, conceptual phase of any project or transaction: applying creativity, accumulated knowledge and successfully structuring it. I can accomplish this by articulating the multidisciplinary team needed, or by working with an existing one, ensuring that the goals of the investors are always being met, while achieving excellence in the process.

In addition, real estate negotiations and asset management come natural to me and complement any business development as a continuation of the initial structuring process.
Creating a hotel or restaurant, is a very delicate and intrusive process, a true challenge to achieve in a balanced and profitable way. It’s a genuine work of art: where inspiration and business sense come together to create magical experiences for the guests.
I believe first and foremost, that a project needs to be profitable. However, I passionately believe in the intangible aspects of the business: the real hospitality touch that makes a guest want to come back.
Furthermore, I have the privilege of being able to be selective, only committing to projects that I truly connect with, feel passionate about, and know that I can make a difference.
Right now, it’s more about passion than anything else: I’m lucky because I do what I love, and I find it most gratifying.
Best,
